Giving Thanks by Leah St. James

It's Thanksgiving Day in the U.S., a  time to pause to give thanks and reflect on our blessings. Among mine are the many friendships I've made in the writing world, especially my fellow Roses of Prose. What an honor it was to be asked to join you a few years ago, and what a joy it's been to get to know you each a little. I will be checking in regularly with you on Facebook, and I'm so looking forward to reading this year's crop of holiday stories.

This quote from Emerson says it all for me:

Whether you're celebrating with a crowd or an intimate group, whether your version of the Thanksgiving feast is today, tomorrow or a week from now, wishing you a time of joy and laughter, and the love of many friends, old and new.

A happy Thanksgiving to you, too, Leah. The Emerson quote is perfect.

As everyone (except me and the pets) are still asleep. I'm taking five with a cup of coffee. Turkey is still frozen and it's now taking a cold water spa dip in a stock pot. Good news it is small and only needs 3 hrs to roast. So, point to this, I decided to stick my head in and say, H
Happy Thanksgiving. Love the quote.

Thanks, ladies, for stopping by on such a busy day. I was supposed to be in Florida celebrating with my sister and brother-in-law, but a last-minute illness turned us around--literally, while we were driving south. Still, we had a lovely day at home and I counted my many blessings, including technology that enabled me to talk to and text with my sister throughout the day. :-)
