A year or more ago, I told you about our ill-fated trip home from our granddaughter’s wedding. Our connecting flight in Charlotte, North Carolina, was delayed for over an hour before our boarding gate was changed. We’d hiked from one concourse to another only to have our flight cancelled.
A storyline came to me. What if two senior citizens became much younger unattached strangers?
Sparks, sizzle, and sassy talk!
He doesn't do emotions...She's all about them.
Dental hygienist by day and a tattoo artist by night, Jazmine "Jazz" Archer is known for her penchant for flair and her sassy attitude. She estimates her wealth by her beloved family and friends. When a cancelled flight leaves her stuck at a hotel with a super-stuffy but outrageously gorgeous businessman who threatens her with a spanking, she's surprised to realize the submissive she suppressed so long ago is begging her to take him up on his offer.
Self-made billionaire Blake O’Hearn is as conservative as they come. He sure as hell shouldn't be attracted to the flamboyant female with voluptuous curves and curls that dance when she talks. But behind her bold manner lies a submissive crying for attention, and the Dom in him aches to give it to her. The only thing he can't give her is love.
COMING SOON FROM THE WILDER ROSES.
What kind of research did I do about tattoos?
Isn't my butterfly beautiful? I got it for my 68th birthday.

I love your butterfly, Vonnie! Only you could turn your nightmare trip into an erotic story! LOL
Great butterfly. Beautiful. As Jannine said, only you! Talk about a silver lining, have you ever NOT found one? Thanks for the inspiration.
You know how it works, Jannine. Your mind goes "what if" and by the time we reached our motel I had the first three chapters mentally plotted.
Oh Margo, I even made Rob, the guy who gave me the tattoo, a character in the book. Rob tattoos during the week and does Mixed Martial Arts on the weekends. I got enough info from Rob on the sport to make him Madman Mark in the book. By the time we were finished, he gave me several hugs. Whoot!
Love the butterfly. So glad you turned a calamity into a story. Very clever. Best wishes, Vonnie.
Thanks, Diane. The book is full of family and friends and overcoming past hurts to love. Lots of humor and steamy parts, too.
Ack! Two messages I have sent didn't go through. The perils of travel. Just arrived (by train) at the Marriot in Burbank. JL and Brenda will be rolling in around 6:30 after a six hour drive from Phoenix. I have cheese, crackers and medicinal beverages for them. Then it's a kick-off party at 7:30. We'll be smokin' in CA, in a good way. I love the butterfly and the as-if story Von. Sounds like a winner! Mushing on!
Rolynn, have a ball with Brenda and JL. Keep your eyes and ears open. Life has a way of tossing you awesome story lines. Calvin's in the garage now, hammering his balls to the walker...tennis balls, that is. But I'm going to use that line in a book somewhere. Just a little unexpected giggle.
I also love the butterfly! Yay, Vonnie! And I'll be watching for that "balls" line in a future story. :-) The new book sounds like a ton of fun. (I wouldn't expect anything else.) Can't wait to read it!
Thanks, Leah. I hope readers enjoy the story. It's written differently than I've written anything before. Same sass. Same humor. But written in first person from both the heroine and hero's mind.
Love the butterfly...and your new read sounds like a hit!
The butterfly is lovely!! Awww, I didn't know this story came about because of an airport nightmare. You sure turned it into something positive. LOVE this story! :D
