Mad as a March hare

My March madness has to do with writing. I'm working on 3 books at once, all in different stages of completion.

There's the book I'm contemplating next, called Dogged (about a person who is dogged to death, i.e., her fear of dogs makes her lose control and do something stupid that causes her death). It's very loosely based on The Hound of the Baskervilles, just like my Twistered was loosely based on the Wizard of Oz and Woulds (coming soon) is based on Robin Hood.

There's the book that's done and due to release soon. I'm tweaking the proof copy, working with the artist on cover art, and generally trying to get it out the door. This one is Righter, about a male actor who pens a famous book and has to go undercover in drag to ferret out a murderer (I know. Where do I get these plots?) Due out any day now.

And there the Dream series, a 12-book series I have plotted. Book 1 is done. Book 2 is ALMOST done. Book 3 is plotted, as are most of the other books in the series. I really, really want to get book 2 done before spring. Only 6 chapters to go. I can do, right?

Oh, and don't forget the book I submitted to my editor at The Wild Rose Press, which I am hoping they'll take. If they do, that makes 4 books juggling in the air.

March madness indeed!

Good grief, how do you keep them straight? When I'm working on a measly two books at the same time, I interchange the character names and don't even notice I'm doing it! I bow down to you JL. You get the prolific author award!

All of them sound fascinating. Good luck getting them all out of the chute.

Sounds like they are all well lined up in the chute, as Barbara said. What a whirlwind. Have fun!
