The easiest Thanksgiving ever

We tried this recipe last Thanksgiving and it was AWESOME. Give it a try!

Turkey Breast (in crock pot)

Turkey breast with bone in (5 pounds or so). Remove the gravy packet that comes with the turkey and set aside.

Pat turkey dry. Slather with butter (yep. Slather). Put in CP on low for 8-10 hours (overnight works great). Turn on high for about an hour.

Remove from CP, slice, and put in a baking dish.Melt a stick of butter and some honey (up to a cup, your choice) and cover turkey with this. Put in a low heat oven to keep warm.

Save the turkey drippings, put in saucepan, add 2 cups water, boil. Add gravy packet and boil again. Add sauted onion and mushrooms, poultry seasoning.

I'm doing it again this year -- and I'm guessing this recipe will show up in one of my books sometime soon!

Many times I've put a turkey breast in the CP. Never like this. Until now.

Oh, I'm trying this, too. With only Calvin and I, we don't need the whole turkey. Thanks for sharing.

I think I'm feeding 9 this Thanksgiving, but this sounds like a terrific "regular" dinner.
