Crave Success? Sleep Naked by Margo Hoornstra

Yeah, a similar title by someone else got my attention too. So much so, I went on to read all they had to say. Hope you do the same here.

In the other article the information was based on data from the United States National Institutes of Health, and purely scientific. In this article, the information…will follow that lead.

We all know sleep is important. Quality sleep is especially so. Turns out sleeping naked can help you get more…of the quality kind of sleep. The initial benefit is obvious…no clothes equals a cooler body temperature. A cooler body temperature prompts the metabolism to rise and burn more fat. Not just during sleep times, during waking hours too.

But there’s more.

Sleeping naked…and thus getting better sleep, enhances health and well-being which boosts confidence and ultimately leads to success.

Ergo: Crave success? Sleep naked.

Sounds simple enough, don’t you think?

My days of the month to blog here are, although fully clothed, are the 11th and 23rd. For more about me and the stories I write, please visit my WEBSITE

Bwahahaha...I love it! I've been sleeping naked for twenty years or more. Oh dear, was that TMI? I do take my afternoon naps dressed though. hehehehe I'm still giggling over your post.

Diane: We have nothing to lose, right? (Except, it might not be the best idea while on your cruise ;-)

Vonnie: Yep! One of my goals was to make you laugh. BTW - thanks for sharing!

My DH and I are also naked sleepers. It seems to help him more than it does me. My head is too full of characters, and if I wake up during the night, they just won't shut up. But it's good to know being naked is supposed to help. Fun post!

Hmm...I sleep in a tank top. Hey, it's still winter in Tahoe, and we keep our house at 62 degrees!

Diane: Maybe that's exactly why your head is full of characters. You discovered the secret.

Jannine: Full disclosure - tee shirts for me. Winter or summer, the cooler the better!

You caught my attention too. But I also wonder if I should try this. I've always said that I can't sleep naked. I need lots of comfy cloth around me and even in summer sleep with lots of covers. Or I think so anyway. I wake up a lot and am tired all day. Maybe I should try this!

Hmmm, definitely an attention-getter. I've never been a naked sleeper, but I might try it. Although, if the house caught on fire or a robber broke in, I'd be soooo embarrassed. Fun post!

Brenda: Guess you'll never know until you try. Covers in summer? Gives me the Willis. ;-)

Ally: Good point. I'd probably be lying awake waiting for disaster to strike. In my case, might scare a robber away!

I's say this might be beneficial for the hot-flash crowd! Must give it a try, although Hubs might be shocked into a heart attack!

Naked go I. And hubs. Is there any other way? FREEDOM!

Nice to know I'm doing something right! ;)
Thanks for sharing!

Susan: Such dilemmas. Hot flash crowd, it is.

Right on, Rolynn. Right on!

MJ: Every little bit helps. Glad I could provide confirmation.

I used to ... until the kids were born. But that was A LOT of years ago. Maybe it's time to return to nature!

Margo Hoornstra said...

Give it a whirl, Leah. Can't hurt.

I'm always cold and sleep with covers even in the summertime because Mr. T keeps the AC blowing on high. But hey if it works for some, why not?
