It's the New Year! I didn't wake up with a headache...did you? Well, in any event, I know many of us, including moi, have setting goals for ourselves. Some are realistic and some are just plain fantasy. Just for fun, I decided to share 12 of my goals (along with the reality of them).
1 Lose 50lbs.
(Seriously, if I lose 10, I’ll be happy)
2 Exercise.
(Yeah, whatever…)
3 Eat healthier
(I really have to!)
4 Write 4 books this year
(I’m not as fast as I used to be, that’s for sure!)
5 Learn to use my Dragon voice-recognition software
(I’m not as fast as I used to be…yada, yada…)
6 Buy a road-worthy vehicle
(I’m sad that my son is moving to upper Michigan and yet I’m happy for him, getting his new job
position as a pastor. Weather permitting, a lot of driving is in my husband and my future.)

7 Move South to avoid another Wisconsin winter
(I say this every year!)
8 Convince my husband to drive me to the ACFW Conference in Dallas so I don’t have to fly
the un-friendly skies.

(Refer to #6)
9 Clean my office, organize, and simplify
(I say this every other month!)
10 Sell some of my stuff on Craig’s List or Ebay.
(Refer back to #9)
11 Hire a cleaning lady
(Refer back to #9 and #10)
12 Earn a million dollars on my books so I can accomplish goals
#1 thru #11
(Stop laughing!)
OK, so now that I've shared my resolutions with you, tell me about your New Year’s goals.

No fair using my old list--except for moving from Wisconsin- it was Connecticut.
And the weight! Oh my!
Happy New Year!

We have a couple in common, Barbara. I will certainly lose some weight. Top of the list. I'll join in on writing 4 books and since I've never written that many in a year, that will be heft for me. Good luck on all of yours!
All things in moderation is my new mantra. So if we all take our lists and divide by two - tada realistic goals. At least that's what I'm telling myself.
I'm telling myself to improve a little in all areas of my life. Great post. Made me smile.
Loved this post.
I forgot to make resolutions until I got to the Y today and saw all the people exercising. But then I was so proud of myself for showing up at the Y to exercise, I figured I didn't need any more resolutions this year. :)
Happy New Year Andrea!
Great list, Andrea. Very ambitious! My list is simple: weight loss (I have a new plan for this which I'll reveal on in my Jan 10 post) and minimum daily word count written. My best idea this year was to guide and encourage my dear hubby to set resolutions. He's taken on a lot of things I used to do - and he will hopefully Put Down The Angry Birds Game! Happy New Year!
