I love toys. Not the big expensive kind that kids play with nowadays, but the "ooh. Look at that. It's only $1.99. I think I'll buy it" kind of toy. It's not just toys. It's anything that tickles my fancy. I have wacky things in my garden (the stork made out of silverware and hardware, the ceramic pig, the giggling pig lying on his back, the sneaker that's a planter). I'd have more but I have a husband and he's not into whimsical or wacky.
I like them because they make me smile when I see them. I mean, who wouldn't go "hmm" (or om?) when they see this?
I know how she feels!
I have enough stress in my life with a full-time job, an almost full-time career as a novelist (30 books in 7 years, you do the math), and a very full social schedule. I like looking around me and seeing my stress busters.
And if they're wacky, well, hey -- wacky is in the eye of the beholder!
