It goes like this: I met two brothers whose last name was Williams. I sing in my head every time I see them - "Those Williams boys, yeah, they still mean a lot to me, Hank and Tennessee. I guess we're all gonna be what we're gonna be. So what do you do with good ol' boys like me?"
My granddaughter asked me if I'd take her to the pool tomorrow. "Tomorrow, tomorrow, I'll love you tomorrow..."
Hubby asks if I'd like to go out for a cheeseburger. "I like mine with lettuce and tomato, Heinz 57 and french fried potatoes, big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer. Well good God almighty which way do I steer for a cheeseburger in paradise."
Gosh it's hot. "Hot town, summer in the city, back of my neck getting dirty and gritty."
Do you want to celebrate? "There's a party goin' on right here, A celebration to last throughout the years, So bring your good times and your laughter too, We gonna celebrate your party with you."
You get the idea. I'm not sure how annoying it is for others, but we have fun with it!
The heroine in my next release, Post War Dreams, is based on my mother's life in the 40's. And, yes, she loves to sing. Check my website for news on the release date. www.brendawhiteside.com

Your latest cover is fabulous! Another bonus with the singing, it's hard to NOT smile when you're doing it.
Thanks, Margo. And you're so right. Singing is a happy action.
Such a good use for all those songs we all have dancing around in our heads!! Fun stuff Brenda :)) Waiting patiently for your next great story....
Yes, Nancy, always need a reason for those things dancing around in my head. LOL Thanks.
I "think" songs when I hear certain words, but I don't usually sing them. With two teenage girls, I can only imagine the reaction! Best of luck with this book, Brenda!
For me it's movie lines. Someone will say something that will remind me of a line from a movie. It often happens when I'm writing. I can't use it, though. It's fun.
Oh, Jannine, those teens are so easy to embarrass. I laugh just thinking about their reactions if you broke out in song like I do.
That's a good memory, Diane!
