Did you all survive Black Friday? I know better than to go shopping that day. I know, lots of great bargains. My brother-in-law who works in retail (and has to go in every Thanksgiving as well as the day after) tells horror stories about how crazy people can get. I, on the other hand, stay home. And not because all my shopping is done. Every year about this time, I kick myself for not shopping earlier. The internet is my best friend. LOL
Stop back here tomorrow for a real treat. The Roses of Prose Holiday Anthology, The Santa Suit Chronicles. We have great short stories planned for your entertainment. So each morning in December, grab a cup of your favorite beverage and settle down to read a holiday story. My story, "The Santa Tradition", is told by a woman whose husband has forgotten the real meaning of fatherhood. Understanding can only go so far. Sometimes a guy needs a slap upside the head. My story appears in three parts from December 7th through 9th.
Diane Burton writes science fiction romance and romantic suspense. Her first mystery The Case of the Bygone Brother is now available at online retailers.

Sitting by the pool in shorts sounds fabulous. However, it's fifty degrees here in Michigan. Supposed to get colder. Oooops. That wasn't rubbing it back in was it? ;-)
LOL, Margo. 50s sound really good compared to what we left. Hold off the snow until we get back, okay?
I went shopping for the first time EVER on Black Friday. I'm pretty sure I won't make that mistake again. Did get a couple of great deals, but the hassle wasn't worth it. I'm looking forward to reading all the stories!
At least you got some deals, Jannine.
I stayed home and took a nap. After putting up strings of lights on the porch.
Good for you, Barb. I've taken more naps this weekend than usual.
