March is flying by.
I’m completing the edits on Ancient
Curse so it can go to galley for the final approval before publishing. I have
another holiday romance underway. This short story is for a special series for
The Wild Rose Press and I’m very proud to be asked to contribute. I had already
started another holiday romance and I wanted it done by the end of March.
Uh Oh. Might not make my own deadline.
And the time is important. My husband and I have been
thinking about a trip to Alaska for years and this is the time. We have
reservations on the Alaska Marine Highway, a historic scenic route that follows
the coastline for thousands of miles.
We’ll travel back to Connecticut from our stay in Florida to
drop off the fifth wheel in storage, load up the
truck camper, and head west.
Driving across country is an extremely hard trip. Especially
when we want to get to Yosemite for our first major stop. We’ve been to the
Grand Canyon and the general area recently so we’ll go past.
We plan to drive up the California coast to Oregon, then
Washington State to arrive at Bellingham, the departure point on May 16.
Whew.
I know. Its quick but we want to spend as much time as
possible exploring the far North. One of my husband’s goals is to drive to the
Arctic Circle. Mine is to persuade him to continue far enough to put one toe in
the Arctic waters.
I plan to keep writing as we drive. I’d like to share
everything on my blog. And my husband has an iPad mini so the grandkids are
going to show us how to take and post pictures on Facebook.
Is it extreme? Sure, but when will we do it if not now?

love to hear from my readers.

This sounds so fun, Barbara. Yosemite is the most beautiful place I've ever been. You're going to love it. Of course I've never been to Alaska, so maybe you'll find it even more majestic!
We've been planning this for ages and hope it all does well. I'm taking a ton of pictures.
Oh wow, I'm so jealous...sounds like an amazing trip. And, what an inspirational way to write. Hope you have a joyous time. And, huge congrats on the Wild Rose Press story...fun stuff!
Hi Alicia,
We've been planning this trip so long, I can't believe we're ready to go. Wow. Thanks for the good wishes
