I forgot by Barbara Edwards

Barbara Edwards
I admit I forgot to post my essay for today's blog. I'm packing for the Romance Writers of America Conference in New York. It's close to home this year and I couldn't miss it.
I'm getting my pitch ready for my editor interview and for an agent interview. I haven't done either since I found a great publisher with ebooks, but what the hey. I'm going to be there.
I have to finish packing. One bag plus my computer is my limit. Limit it to stuff for three days. Hah. I can see all of you thinking about the bags you've packed. Too much! Redo. Little is better.
Plus I'm looking for the perfect except for my Christmas release, Dixie's Gift, from the Wild Rose Press.

I did remember to volunteer for the 'Literacy for Life' reception on Wednesday night. If you're in New York, make sure you come and buy an autographed book. All the profits go to literacy programs. RWA has supported this for more than twenty years. Thanks to all the authors and publishers who donate time and books for this great cause. Without readers where would we be?
So I'm not a list maker. I have my stuff ready: vitamins; make-up; pantyhose; three changes of clothes and comfortable shoes.
I'm sure I will forget something, but that is what credit cards are for. Snicker. Don't tell my husband I said that.
Hope I see some of you there.

Please follow, friend or like me. I love to hear from my readers.

Have a great time at the conference, Barb! I've never been to one. One of these days...

You'll have fun, Barbara. Haven't been to RWA...thinking about San Diego in 2016. What I love about all conferences is the lifetime friends I make. Priceless!

It's a great conference! Enjoy yourself. And, yes, comfortable shoes are a must! Absorb it all.

I'm sure you're on a plane by now--or in NYC. Enjoy the conference, Barbara. I used to go to the RWA conferences every year. Haven't been for a while. They are quite a learning experience and a lot of fun. The best part of all is the friendships made & renewed. Have fun!
