This last time was the best. I've been happier here than any other house we've lived in. Since we packed our own things (as opposed to movers doing it), I made sure contents were well marked. Still, I had to dig around looking for one certain thing. After nearly 3 yrs, I still haven't found a couple of things. Probably in a box in the garage that neither of us felt the need to empty. Good luck, Brenda, finding your new home. Try to stay cool.Diane Burtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03754105332297068271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9023937099212820339.post-62606149259570894752016-07-10T10:23:30.255-04:002016-07-10T10:23:30.255-04:00Early morning coffee time so I can take a moment t...Early morning coffee time so I can take a moment to check email and posts. Margo, I can't imagine living somewhere that long. The longest time we spent in any home was eight years.

Andrea, you know. And love that moving ranks as one of the 3. It sucks the life blood out of you but is a great way to get rid of the dross in your life and move on both physically and mentally. Still, it is often listed along with death and divorce as one of the 3 most traumatic experiences...just saying... Enjoy!Andrea Downinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11553961600937196102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9023937099212820339.post-62764799669028807462016-07-09T16:54:29.017-04:002016-07-09T16:54:29.017-04:00Oh, Brenda, I both envy you and sympathize. Last time we sold a house, my OG put it on the market 'for the heck of it to see what would happen'. You guessed it, the house sold within a week and we were like you, nowhere to go. Don't want to go that way again, but it would be nice to take off, like you, on another of life's adventures. Best of luck with all of it!Margo Hoornstrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00036077481652050799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9023937099212820339.post-15643161902037491062016-07-09T16:40:58.377-04:002016-07-09T16:40:58.377-04:00Vonnie, I'm with you on enjoying it years ago....Vonnie, I'm with you on enjoying it years ago. Since the new house wouldn't be habitable for a year, we had the movers stack all the boxes and furniture in the garage at the house (which was under construction) while we lived in our vacation condo. Periodically, I would need something I'd packed and have to search through boxes to find it. I did fine, but the whole process was so stressful for OG he had a stroke. Take care of yourselves while you figure out your next step!Alison Hendersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12725250883303287946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9023937099212820339.post-71621174557673727852016-07-09T12:50:37.614-04:002016-07-09T12:50:37.614-04:00I did that sort of thing in my youth. My biggest adventure this week was exploring a local garden center trying to figure out what I could afford to buy (knowing it would probably die once in my hands). Now we both have a lifetime of memories, plus what we've accumulated in 12 years of marriage. Moving from Maryland to Virginia nearly did us in. We tossed and packed for 6 months and hired a moving van. I can't imagine doing what you're doing. My nerves would be a wreck. You're a stronger woman than I. Much...much stronger.Vonnie Davis ~ Romance Authorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07360480832587538895noreply@blogger.com
