Sprinklers say summer |
Summer has never been my favorite season. I didn't like the heat of
Stormy summer skies |
Golden squash from the summer garden |
But there is something special about the end of summer. There's a change in the air and autumn holds more appeal for me. The mornings have been just a touch cooler here on the prairie so I can already look forward to the change.

Happy birthday, Brenda! Great pics that definitely conjure up summer. Running through the sprinklers when we were kids and way too much zucchini from the garden!
Hey, happy birthday from me, too! Your new book sounds like a must-read and I love the cover. Have a wonderful end of summer b'day celebration!
Thanks, Jannine and Glenys.
Happy Birthday, darlin'. I'm ready for fall, too. I love all the nuances of the season. Hot weather comes in three varieties: hot, muggy hot and damned hot. Ooops! Am I allowed to say that here? Too bad, I done did. Have an awesome special birthday.
Thanks, Vonnie. We get all three hots here!
Happy Birthday, Brenda and good luck with your new release.
Thank you, Barbara.
Happy Birthday Brenda! I just had to say it again and I am looking forward to reading Amanda in the Summer and find out what happens to the three generations of women and their summers filled with love, pain, laughter and tears.
To one of my favorite authors.
Rebecca
Thank you so much, Rebecca. I hope you enjoy it!
Happy Birthday a day late, Brenda. Enjoy what's left of summer.
Thanks for the wishes, Diane. Not too late for me. Because of harvest season, my celebration will be delayed anyway...
Happy birthday, Brenda. I'm a day late too. August in Michigan it HOT! Spent one summer in Arizona as an Army wife. That was plenty for me!
Ha, you know how hot it can get, Margo!
Happy Birthday and congratulations! I also love that end of Summer, fall approaching time of year. Your book sounds like a great read. Wishing you much success!
